Cutover and turn-up support
Console-side execution during a window, running the pre-checks, the change, and the verification while the customer's or prime's hands are on site.
Discovery and documentation
Inventory and configuration capture, data reconciliation, and as-built documentation that meets the customer's format, not a shorthand version of it.
Automation support
Ansible, Terraform, and Python work against device inventories, reviewed the same way any other change is reviewed.
Scope in writing before the window opens. Every time.
How an engagement works
- Written scope. A statement of work that names the deliverable, the schedule, the acceptance criteria, and the rate.
- You control the method. We define the outcome and the standards it has to meet; how you do the work is yours, as an independent business.
- Access is granted, not shared. Customer systems are reached through per-person authorized access. No shared passwords, no customer credentials on your laptop, and access ends when the scope ends.
- Work is reviewed before it goes live. Proposed changes are reviewed and approved by a Vertex engineer. That protects you as much as the customer: nothing you submit lands unreviewed.
- Acceptance and payment. Deliverables are accepted against the criteria in the scope, then invoiced. Net terms are stated in the agreement, not left open.

- Your own workstation, and a network that holds up during a change window

- Change windows are often nights and weekends, scheduled in advance
